Tea House Holland started in 2019 with a simple observation: Norwegians drink a lot of tea, but most of it falls far short of what tea can truly offer. Our founders, after years of travelling through tea-producing regions, decided to bridge this gap.
What began as a small operation importing teas for friends and family has grown into a trusted source for discerning tea drinkers across Norway. We remain committed to our original vision: making exceptional tea accessible without pretension.
We maintain direct relationships with tea gardens in Darjeeling, Assam, Yunnan, Fujian, Kyoto, and Taiwan. This allows us to verify growing practices, ensure fair compensation, and secure the freshest possible harvests.
Every tea we offer has been personally evaluated by our team. We reject far more than we accept, because our reputation depends on consistency. If a harvest does not meet our standards, we simply do not stock it that season.
Our approach is shaped by principles we have refined over years of working with tea.
We never blend lower-quality leaves to reduce costs. Every product represents the genuine character of its origin.
We know the families who grow our tea. This connection ensures ethical practices and provides us access to exceptional lots.
Tea appreciation deepens with knowledge. We provide context and guidance so customers can truly understand what makes each tea special.
We operate as a direct-to-consumer tea company with a focus on subscription services and educational experiences. Our revenue comes from three main channels:
Subscription Services: Our monthly and annual membership programmes provide regular deliveries of curated teas, creating predictable revenue that allows us to plan purchases with our partner estates.
Workshops and Consultations: In-person experiences at our Oslo tasting room introduce new customers to quality tea while providing educational value.
Corporate Programmes: We supply premium tea solutions to businesses seeking to enhance their workplace offerings or client hospitality.
